About Us

Promoting outdoor access, providing affordable gear and guidance for students, faculty, and alumni to explore confidently.

Trinity Western University, a global destination for students, is located in the Pacific Northwest—surrounded by coastal mountains, the Pacific Ocean, freshwater lakes, and waterfalls. In response to the growing need for mental health and well-being support, the Trinity Western Outdoor Centre offers a vital connection to creation. It provides resources, programming, and dedicated storage for outdoor equipment, supporting both recreational access and the expanding number of outdoor activity classes. As interest continues to grow, the Outdoor Centre remains a dedicated space for deepening TWU’s relationship with the outdoors.

Land Acknowledgement

The Trinity Western University Outdoor Centre is blessed to learn, and gather on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Stó:lō peoples—specifically the Kwantlen and Matsqui, as well as Katzie and Semiahmoo First Nations.

We honour the enduring stewardship of the forests, rivers, and mountains on these lands. We recognize the responsibility to care for creation with humility and respect. As we invite students, faculty, and alumni into outdoor experiences, we commit to listening, learning, and walking together toward truth, reconciliation, and relationship with the land and its first caretakers.
