New Testament Symposium
A symposium is an academic gathering that brings together scholars, students, and practitioners for focused discussion and reflection around a central theme. Through presentations, dialogue, and audience interaction, participants are encouraged to deepen their understanding and exchange insights.
In this upcoming symposium, we’ll examine the authority of Scripture, the origins of the New Testament, and why they continue to shape Christian faith and practice today. This session will feature:
- Dr. Kent Clarke – Biblical Authority & Inspiration
- Dr. Craig Allert – Formation of the New Testament Canon
Light refreshments will be available during the intermission between both lectures.
Trinity Western University’s Endowed Chair in New Testament Studies hosts dialogues on the New Testament through three public event series, which invite thoughtful engagement with Scripture, exploring its meaning, history, and relevance for today’s world:
- New Testament Public Lecture
- New Testament Symposium
- Faith in the Forum
