Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Undergraduate Science Courses
Speakers: Dr. Herbert Tsang and Dr. Julia Mills with Lauren Mckenna and Princepreet Singh
We present findings from a student-led study on advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in undergraduate biological and computing science courses. Moving beyond access alone, we examine how course design, pedagogical practices, and assessment strategies can foster more inclusive learning environments to support neurodivergent students. This presentation highlights emerging instructional approaches that promote engagement, participation, and a stronger sense of belonging for our diverse student populations in science classrooms.
The Faculty Speaker Series celebrates innovative research by TWU researchers.
Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend.
