TWU’s Clinical Supervisors hold a pivotal role in the clinical education of undergraduate students. They bridge between the healthcare organization, the clinical unit, and the post-secondary institution as they strive to create healthy learning environments. They do so amid the current climate of financial constraint and stretched health systems. This context has negative consequences for student learning and well-being, contributing to higher levels of stress, burnout, depersonalization, and emotional exhaustion in students and in their clinical supervisors. In addition, the quality of the learning environment is a predictor of the quality of care provided by graduates for years after graduation.
