For 36 hours from March 31 to April 1, the Trinity Western University community came together with a shared purpose: to invest in students and the future of the University. By the end of Giving Day 2026, 735 donors had contributed a total of $299,201 in support of 12 projects across Trinity Western.
Each gift told a story. Alumni gave in gratitude for the education that shaped them. Parents gave to support the environment their children now call home. Faculty and staff gave to strengthen the programs they build and lead each day. Students gave to support the community they are part of now. Together, these gifts formed something larger than a total. They became a collective act of generosity.
A community effort
Throughout the campaign, donors supported initiatives across academic programs, Student Life, and athletics. Timed challenges and matching opportunities helped multiply the impact of each gift, while departments and project teams rallied their communities in a shared effort to reach participation goals and unlock additional funding.
The Area of Greatest Need received the highest level of support, with 183 donors contributing more than $106,000 toward scholarships, student services, and campus initiatives that serve the broader student body. The School of Business also saw significant support, raising more than $58,000. Across the University, projects reached donor participation goals that unlocked additional challenge funding throughout the 36-hour event.
Momentum through challenges & events
Timed challenges held throughout Giving Day awarded additional funding to projects that received the highest number of gifts during specific hours. Student Life, the School of Education, the School of Nursing, the School of Human Kinetics, the Faculty of Natural & Applied Sciences, and the School of the Arts, Media + Culture were among the projects that received additional funds through these challenges, reflecting strong support from their communities.
On campus, Giving Day was marked by friendly competition and celebration, as students, faculty, and staff participated in games and activities to earn additional funding for their departments. These moments brought energy and connection to the campaign and contributed to the sense of shared momentum across campus.
This year also included the “1962 Sock Incentive,” where donors who gave $196.20 or more in honour of Trinity Western’s founding year received a pair of TWU socks as a thank-you and a small reminder of their participation in the University’s ongoing story.
Looking ahead
Behind every number is a person who chose to give, and behind every gift is a student who will benefit. Giving Day continues to reflect the strength of the Trinity Western community and what can be accomplished when that community comes together with a shared vision for the future.
36 hours. 12 projects. 1 community.
