Jaime Craig Sinclair

Part-time Instructor of Human Kinetics
I bring together my background in engineering, experience as a track and field coach, and deep interest in human movement. I want students to think critically, connect theory to real-world movement, and develop knowledge and problem-solving skills they can apply purposefully throughout their professional lives.

Jamie Sinclair is an Instructor of Biomechanics and an assistant coach with the Trinity Western University track and field program. Originally from Scotland, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from Trinity Western University.

Jamie’s engineering background, coaching experience, and interest in human movement shape his practical approach to teaching biomechanics. He encourages students to think critically, understand the mechanical principles underlying movement, and apply those principles to real-world problems in sport, rehabilitation, and other professional settings. His classes combine foundational theory with discussion, problem-solving, and practical laboratory experiences.

Jamie has nearly a decade of collegiate coaching experience and has helped athletes earn conference and national medals, compete at international championships, and represent Canada and Great Britain. In 2024, he was named the Canada West Assistant Coach of the Year. He values opportunities to support students and athletes in their academic, athletic, professional, and personal development.

TWU has also played a significant role in Jamie’s faith journey, shaping how he approaches teaching, coaching, relationships, and service to others. Outside of his work at the university, Jamie most enjoys spending time with his wife, Ivonne, and their three children, Nicholas, Emma, and Mattias.
