Journey Canoe Trip

You were made for more. This summer, you are invited on a journey to explore who will become. Organized by the TWU Outdoor Centre, HKIN 316 (Journey: A TWU Outdoor Experience), fulfills your University core requirements for experiental and embodied learning, returns for another epic adventure.
From May 17 to May 26, 2026, we will spend 10 days in Wells Gray Provincial Park on Clearwater and Azure Lakes, where you will live in community, be self-sustaining, and challenge yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Preparation for the trip will include group meetings and a day of orientation on campus prior to leaving for the trip. You will engage with a series of reading and written assignments all that point you to community, adventure and connection. The rich, distraction-free environment in this course provides a unique opportunity for you to process more than you would normally have the capacity to. This allows you to create new ways of being and to imagine your future in a new way.
