Admission Requirements

Qualified applicants who wish to apply may begin anytime to send the following documents and information to admissions@twu.ca:

• A master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
• Four references: one pastoral, one academic, and two character. All references must be written by persons who know you well and can confidently speak of your character.
• A TOEFL score of 100 (or 5.5) or IELTS score of 7.0 (if applicable)
• A Duolingo score of 135 overall and 135+ in Production/Literacy
• A personal statement (500–800 words) and a research goal statement (300–500 words)
• An academic writing sample

Application Deadlines

There are two admission dates a year—in the fall and in the spring. The respective deadlines for domestic applications are Jan. 15 and Sept. 15.

Requirements for International Students

Successful applicants for the program in English will demonstrate English language proficiency at a graduate level of analysis and thinking.
