Admission Requirements

Qualified applicants who wish to apply may begin anytime to send the following documents and information to admissions@twu.ca:

  • An MDiv degree (MA in relevant discipline may be considered) from an accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Proficiency in biblical and modern languages appropriate to area of concentration.
  • Three references: 1) pastoral 2) academic 3) character. All references must be written by persons who know you well and can confidently speak of your character.
  • A TOEFL score of 100 or IELTS score of 7.0 (if applicable).
  • A personal statement (500–800 words), a ministry goal statement (300–500 words), and a research goal statement (300–500 words).

Application Deadlines

There are two admission dates per year—Sept. 1 for the fall and Jan. 1 for the spring. The deadline for domestic applications is Aug. 1 for the fall and Dec. 1 for the spring. 

Requirements for International Students

Successful applicants for the program in English will demonstrate English language proficiency at a graduate level of analysis and thinking. Please see the graduate studies international applicants webpage for a list of organizations that can provide an evaluation. This page also provides a range of helpful information regarding studying in Canada as an international student (for all international applicants).


Finances

The standard tuition rate for the Master of Theology is $750 per semester hour. Scholarships are available for an average of 25% off total domestic tuition, with a sample scholarship rate of $563 per semester hour. Additional scholarships and financial aid offerings will be available. Our Financial Aid team will work with you to explore available options and create a personalized financial aid plan.
