Students are required to produce an outline of the topics to be studied in consultation with the instructor. A course of reading and writing is pursued according to the approved outline.

In keeping with University policy, students are not allowed to do a directed study in a course currently offered by the Media + Communication Department. May fulfil special program requirements depending on nature of studies.
