International Credential Evaluation
If you are an international student who has completed post-secondary studies outside of North America, a course-by-course degree evaluation must be completed for your transcript(s). Please see the international applicants webpage for a list of options, either internally through TWU or through third-party organizations that can provide an evaluation.
Applicants With English as a Second Language
Non-native English speakers must submit an academic IELTS score of 7.0 (writing/reading 6.5, listening/reading 6.5), or a 130 DuoLingo score (Literacy/Comprehension 120+, Conversation/production 105+), or an iBT TOEFL score of 5+ (Reading, Listening, Speaking: 4; Writing 4.5), or for TOEFL exams taken prior to January 21, 2026, a score of 100 (Writing/Reading 23+, Speaking/Listening: 20+). The TWU code for score submission is 0876.
Applicants scoring lower than these levels may be eligible for conditional admission via the Graduate Transition Program (GTP). Conditional admission via the GTP requires a minimum IELTS of 6.0 (with writing band no lower than 6.0), a Duolingo of 105 (writing 105+) or an iBT TOEFL of 4 (writing 4). The GTP is a one-semester (4-month) program, and a student may enter the MA Educational Studies-Inclusive Education program after successful completion of the GTP semester.
