TWU celebrates Easter 2021: Special chapel livestream and greetings from President Mark Husbands

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

1 Peter 1:3

During Easter, the TWU community honoured the occasion with a special livestreamed chapel event, hosted by Rev. Dr. James Ellis III.

President Mark Husbands delivered the following Easter greetings:

"As President and Vice-Chancellor of Trinity Western University, it is a joy to bring you Easter greetings.

I would love to share with you this passage from 1 Peter 1:3.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

When I was young, a friend taught me these words in his mother tongue:

"Christos voskrese, voistinu voskrese”

This morning, throughout the world, Christians will be saying these words:

“Christ is Risen!”

And you're invited to respond,

“He is risen, indeed.”
