TWU grads, faculty, and friends receive Jessie nominations and awards

Grad Kaylee Harwood was not the only TWU type to be honoured at the 2010 Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards. Acting Instructor, Craig Ericksonwon Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his incredible performance as Nick in Blackbird Theatre's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. This acclaimed production will be remounted next spring as part of the Arts Club Stanley Theatre season.

Naomi Sider, who designed costumes for TWU productions of The Lady's Not For Burning andPride and Prejudice, won a Jessie for Costume Design for Pacific Theatre's production of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Sarah Rodgers, who directed the Pacific Theatre/TWU co-production of Godspell, won Best Director for Billy Bishop Goes to War at the Arts Club. She was also nominated as Best Actor for Solo Collective's production of The Project by Aaron Bushkowsky.

Guest instructor Anthony F. Ingram won Best Actor for his disturbing portrayal of Ralph in Shameless Hussy's production of Frozen, stage managed by TWU grad Lois Dawson.

Lauchlin Johnston, who designed set and lights for The Lady's Not For Burning and Anatomy of Gray, and will design this fall's production of The Skin of Our Teeth, was nominated for both set and lighting design for Pacific Theatre's production of Refuge of Lies, written by longtime TWU faculty member, Ron Reed.
