Cyrus (Ki Yip) Yee, PhD

Part-Time Instructor of Leadership

Dr. Cyrus Yee is currently teaching courses in Leadership at Trinity Western University.

He received his Ph.D. in History from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He also holds three M.A. degrees: in Leadership, Comparative and Public History, and Literary and Cultural Studies, and an M.Phil. in History from Trinity Western University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and The University of Hong Kong, respectively. 

Previously, he also worked as an Associate Research Fellow in History at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China.

Dr. Yee has also lectured at Simon Fraser University, The University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong polytechnic University prior to his current appointment.

His key publications include “Han Migrant Farmers in Qing Inner Mongolia: Reluctant Pioneers or Human Great Wall?” (2017) and “Wither Mongolian Consciousness? Or, Ethnic Politics in Mongolia in the Early 20th Century” (2019).
