Biography

Hometown: I was born in Vancouver, but raised in Gibsons, BC.

Q: What excites you the most about living on campus as an RD?

I am so excited to have the opportunity to do life with students. Living in community is such an incredible blessing and an opportunity to be in students’ lives, caring for, supporting them and being an encouragement. I am also looking forward to the many campus events and fun that living on campus brings!

Q: If you could take a group of TWU students anywhere in the world to do anything, where would you go and what would you do?

I would take them to India, a place that is very, very close to my heart. We would tour through many of the incredible cities and regions, experiencing all the wonderful food, people and modes of travel, and spend some time helping to serve at a children’s home, having the opportunity to work alongside the amazing staff and children. We would then travel to the South to Hyderabad, where we would spend some time with my family and visit some of the sites there.

Q: What is your favourite hobby or activity?

I absolutely love to go for coffee with people, and get to know them. I also love to do a puzzle. And my husband and I love to host a games night.

Q: What is the best book you have most recently read?

This was not a recent read, but it’s one that I continually come back to, as at the time I read it, I think it helped in framing and giving voice to some of the deeper parts of me - Foreign to Familiar, by Sarah A. Lanier. It talks about the idea of hot and cold climate cultures and the beauty that each one brings to our world and lives.

Q: What are your Clifton top 5 Strengths?

Developer, Restorative, Empathy, Includer, Connectedness
