Animal Care
Trinity Western University is committed to the humane and ethical care and use of animals. To ensure that the highest standards in the care and use of animals for research, teaching and testing are upheld, Trinity Western University has established an Animal Care Committee (ACC), herein known as the Institutional ACC (IACC).
Biosafety
TWU is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for its faculty, staff and students and to ensure the protection of the community and the environment. To meet this commitment the Office of Research and Graduate Studies, TWU Occupational Health and Safety Committee and the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences has developed and implemented numerous health and safety programs including Biosafety.
Human Research Ethics
The Human Research Ethics Board of Trinity Western University exists to promote and uphold the ethical treatment of human research participants throughout the research process. We abide by the regulations and guidelines as established by the Tri-Council Policy Statement on the Ethical Conduct of Research Involving Humans, as well as those of the Canadian Association of Research Ethics Boards.
