Student Loans

The following information is for residents of BC. Students who are from other provinces or who are from the U.S. should contact the Financial Aid Office for information regarding eligibility requirements.

Full-time Summer Loan
If you are enrolled full-time (a minimum of 9 semester hours for undergraduate students) over a span of 12 weeks, not including breaks, you could be eligible for a full-time government loan. To determine if your program and course schedule meet the eligibility requirements, please complete the Summer Course Completion Contract and send it to the Financial Aid Office (awards@twu.ca). Please note that any breaks between your courses must be no greater than two weeks, with a total of no more than three weeks of breaks allowable.

Part-time Summer Loan
If you are enrolled part-time in 3-8 semester hours (for undergraduate students) over a span of 6 or more weeks, you could be eligible for a part-time government loan. Please note that there cannot be any breaks between your classes for part-time eligibility with BC student loans. To determine if your program and course schedule meet the eligibility requirements, please complete the Part-time Summer Course Completion Contract and send it to the Financial Aid Office (awards@twu.ca).
