Immigration Advising Services
At TWU, we have our Regulated International Student Immigration Advisers (RISIAs), who are TWU staff members and certified immigration consultants under the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
TWU RISIAs can provide limited immigration advising to TWU international students. These immigration advising services are provided free of charge, if TWU international students and their dependents have questions about
- Study permits
- Temporary resident visas
- Study permits related to other permits currently available in Canadian immigration programs
However, TWU RISIAs are not authorized representatives to fill out and/or submit IRCC forms on behalf of TWU international students. If you require immigration advising beyond the services mentioned above, or if you need authorized representatives to fill out and prepare application materials for your IRCC applications, you will need to seek other immigration lawyers or immigration consultants in Canada. Normally, you are required to pay service fees to them. Check HERE to learn about “What immigration services are available outside of Trinity Western University”.
How to Access Immigration Advising Services at TWU
TWU international students can access immigration services at TWU through the following three channels.
International Student Guide
This is a comprehensive online resource centre specifically designed to provide TWU international students with up-to-date information about IRCC policies.
International Student Help - Online Form
Students can request to address more specific questions through the online form. This online form is used to collect important documents (e.g., your current study permit) so that we can provide accurate immigration legal advice. If your questions are urgent and severe, we will request to meet you in-person or online.
