TWU's Game Jam is back! Gr. 10 to 12 students are invited to a weekend game-making bootcamp, March 3–5

Ever wanted to make your own video game? Here’s your chance! Trinity Western University is calling high-school artists, programmers, composers, and game designers to come and learn how to make video games during a 48-hour Game Jam, March 3–5.

Join us at TWU’s Game Jam—a short, intense challenge to create wild, wacky, experimental video games in just 48 hours. No experience is required. The game-making event runs from March 3–5, beginning on Friday night and wrapping up on Sunday evening with a showcase of student creations and a pizza dinner.

“We're looking for students who are excited about art, programming, composition, or game design to work as a small team on an intense, fun, experimental project,” says Dr. Kevin Schut, who founded TWU’s Game Development program in June 2019.

“You don't need to have all the skills,” Dr. Schut explains, “our game design students and faculty will be around to help.”

The March 3–5 Game Jam is the second game design event hosted by TWU, following the first successful Game Jam in the fall of 2022. TWU’s Game Jam is open to all Grade 10 to 12 students. The event will be held at TWU’s Langley campus (22500 University Drive).

Space is limited—register today. Questions? Reach out to gamedevelopment@twu.ca.

About TWU’s Game Development program

TWU’s Game Development program equips graduates with the technical skills programmers need to develop video games and the knowledge to utilize those skills in business. Students in the program build their professional portfolio by creating and marketing video games. They learn to drive the projects from the concept stage to promotion—designing business models and monitoring costs and revenues. Learn more at TWU’s Game Development program.
