"I received my Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Victoria in 1986, and have been performing and teaching since."

Some highlights include a Juno Nomination with Rumba Calzada and recording with Grammy nominated composer Paul Dolden.  Nick has had the opportunity to perform three times at the Borneo Jazz Festival in Borneo, Malaysia, and has toured extensively across the U.S. and Canada.  He has backed up such noted performers as singers Petula Clark, Persian icon Dariush, and the famed Canto-pop singer Alan Tam.  As well, he has backed up The Canadian Tenors, saxophonist Kenny G., and the late comedian Don Rickles.

In addition to teaching at Trinity Western I have also taught at Douglas College.  In 1995 , along with the group Rumba Calzada, I taught the first ever Salsa music workshop at the University of the Philippines.   I have taught my Brazilian Drumming class to thousands of students from children to seniors, beginners to university level music students.
