Scholarships & Awards

TWU financial aid (scholarships, grants, endowments, on-campus employment, etc.) is available to GENV students. Apply online through TWU’s Financial Aid.

Zwamborn Family Scholarship (1 Award, $1,500): Award available to a returning Environmental Studies major with a minimum 3.0 GPA. 

Stan Olson Environmental Studies Bursary (1 Award, $1,200): Created in loving memory of Stan Olson, dedicated long-standing librarian at Trinity Western and a great environmental enthusiast and volunteer. This award is available to an undergraduate environmental studies student with financial need.

Jordan Thiessen Memorial Scholarship (4 Awards, $5,000): Award available to returning undergraduate students. Preference given to a male student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and who is majoring in Environmental Studies. Second preference given to a student in the sciences. This award may be renewable pending donor approval, preference to previous recipients. Recipients of this award must also be willing to volunteer 2 hours per month to help maintain the Jordan Thiessen Courtyard. TWU Maintenance will coordinate tasks.

Carl Tracie Geography and Environmental Studies Scholarship (1 Award, $800): Award available to a Geography or Environmental Studies student with a high GPA, financial need and a demonstrated commitment to new and existing initiatives at TWU, such as Earth Week and the community gardens.

Edworthy Blue Frog Scholarship (1 Award, $1,200): Award available to an undergraduate student enrolled in the sciences with financial need. 

Natural Science Faculty Bursary (1 Award, $2,800): Award available to a returning student in the Faculty of Natural & Applied Sciences who has demonstrated potential for making a contribution in the Natural and Applied Sciences from a Christian perspective. Must have minimum 2.7 GPA and demonstrate financial need. List of eligible applicants will be forwarded to the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences for the selection of a recipient.

Robert Boyle Chemistry Scholarship (2 Awards, $2,500): Award available to a returning chemistry major with financial need, and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to upper level students.
