Trinity Western Seminary is a founding member of the Associated Canadian Theological Schools (ACTS Seminaries), the third-largest theological enterprise in Canada.
As the seminary for Trinity Western University, our mission is to equip and resource godly leaders for Christian service in the church and the world. Although non-denominational in ethos, TWS maintains a special relationship with the Evangelical Free Church community (EFCC and EFCA) and serves the Evangelical Free Church of Canada as its national ministry training centre.
In keeping with the university’s centrist Evangelical ethos, Trinity Western Seminary is a welcoming home to a denominationally diverse student body across many Christian communions, counting Christian Reformed Church, Evangelical Free, Mennonite, Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, Salvation Army, Baptist, Christian Missionary Alliance, Nazarene, Free Methodist, and others.
TWS is an integral part of TWU and participates in the Associated Canadian Theological Schools consortium (ACTS) located on our Langley campus. TWS students can take courses with us in residence or around the world online through ACTS World Campus.
Trinity Western Seminary offers a wide variety of graduate degrees in theological, pastoral, and professional studies including the Master of Divinity, MA in Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care, MA in Linguistics and Translation, MA in Christian Leadership, and Doctor of Ministry programs among others. Additionally, several growing programs are available in Korean and Mandarin. For a full list of our degrees and certificates, please see Degree Programs.
