This program format is for students admitted into the MA Biblical Studies in Fall 2019 or earlier. Students admitted after Fall 2019 should refer to the new MA Biblical Studies and Christian Thought program information. If you have any questions, please contact Thomas Hatina, Program Director.

Format

The MA in Biblical Studies consists of 30 semester hours, which includes six 600 level courses – four required courses (Advanced OT and NT Exegesis and Seminar) and two elective courses – and a thesis. Students meeting all prerequisites typically complete the program within two or three years.

See the MA in Biblical Studies checklist.

Here are links to some information and resources which will assist students in the course of the MA program. Please note in particular those which pertain to the thesis and graduation process – not least the Thesis Guidelines - periodically reviewing them to ensure that you are completing all requirements in a timely manner.
