Biography

Hometown: Kirchheimbolanden, Germany

Q: What excites you the most about living on campus as an RD?

I think one of the best aspects is living life together. It's easy to have good conversations with students over lunch or when I spend time with them in their dorms. There are always opportunities to engage and to have a good time with students!

Q: If you could take a group of TWU students anywhere in the world to do anything, where would you go and what would you do?

I'd probably take them on a castle tour through Germany, ending up in a restaurant eating some Spätzle!

Q: What is your favourite hobby or activity?

I like going for runs, playing soccer and going for hikes/walks with my wife. Mostly anything active interests me!

Q: What is the best book you have most recently read?

It's not the last book I read but I read it throughout the summer. It's called Raging with Compassion by John Swinton. It's a great book on how we can move away from asking the question of why people are suffering but rather focus on how people can live in this world while suffering. The book does not downplay the effects of suffering but rather wants to help to learn how to lament.
