Shawna L. Lafreniere, Ph.D., CF-LSP, is an associate professor in the Department of Leadership and Organizational Psychology at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. Prior to joining the department, she worked for 8 years in APU’s Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment as the director of curricular effectiveness, giving leadership to the academic and cocurricular assessment and program review efforts. With a passion for teaching and learning, she continues to co-lead the Designing Significant Learning Experiences Institute for APU faculty.
A native of Canada and a recent U.S. citizen, she founded the Christian Higher Education Enrollment Association of Canada and the Canadian Christian College Tour, for which she was nominated twice as one of the “Top 40, Under 40” leaders in Canada and given a full scholarship for her Ph.D. studies.
