As part of Sustainability Week at TWU, you're invited to an educational trail walk through the TWU Ecosystem Study Area, also known as the "Back 40".
Take an adventure through the TWU Ecosystem Study Area. Fill in your “passport” as you move through stations on the trail where Conservation Biology students await to converse with you about fascinating aspects of TWU's natural habitats.
- Pick up a "passport" at the station by McMillan Lake, located near the entrance to the Langley campus.
See the TWU Campus map.
- Visit all 14 stations located throughout the Ecosystem Study Area and receive a raffle ticket for a gift basket.
Visit the various stations on the trail at your own pace.
All are welcome. Dress for the weather and wear your walking shoes.

The Trinity Western University Ecosystem Study Area (ESA) is an area dedicated to the study, preservation, and proper management of the environment. It is a valuable area of diverse and sensitive habitat, containing part of the Salmon River and some tributaries. Learn more about the ESA.
